Description
The Solar Auxilia is an elite fighting force that relies on the weight of numbers, in both infantry and heavy armour, to grind its opponents down. Its equipment is fully sealed against the environment and as suited to the void of space as to planetary surfaces. Whether you hold the line for the Emperor or march to overthrow him, this box is a superb starting point.
A Lasrifle Section holds objectives and controls the battlefield with numbers, fielded as one large unit or two units of 10, each with optional Sergeant, vox interlock and vexilla. A Tactical Command Section leads them, speedy Hermes Sentinels outflank the enemy, and a mighty Leman Russ Strike Tank provides heavy firepower.
Options abound. Sergeants and the Auxilia Captain choose from laspistol, blast pistol, needle pistol, volkite serpenta, plasma pistol or hand flamer, plus a power fist, power sword or charnabal sabre, while lasrifles can take bayonets. The Hermes can carry a multi-laser or grenade launcher, or a heavy flamer or volkite caliver as Veletaris. The Leman Russ takes a battlecannon, twin lascannon, gravis autocannon or vanquisher cannon, five hull weapon choices, pintle weapons, a hunter-killer missile, searchlights, dozer blade, flare shield and a cognis-signum for a Command Tank.
