Description

Vanguard Veterans are ever eager to reach the enemy lines swiftly and strike at the foe's weaknesses. They use jump packs to bound into battle on columns of flame, whether dropping from a gunship passing low overhead or leaping through hails of fire to hit the enemy like a thunderbolt.

This kit builds 5 Vanguard Veterans with jump packs, highly mobile and aggressive melee specialists armed with heavy bolt pistols and master-crafted power weapons. One model can be built as a Vanguard Veteran Sergeant with a unique head, masonry on his base, a relic blade and extra purity seals; he can swap his relic blade for a thunder hammer or power fist, and his heavy bolt pistol for a plasma pistol. Two Veterans can take plasma pistols, every model can replace its heavy bolt pistol with a combat shield (including a unique shield for the Sergeant), and all five have a choice of two shin plates on one leg.

Interchangeable parts include 10 helmeted heads, 9 bare heads, 5 shoulder pads with Crux Terminatus, 6 shoulder pads, 10 belt-mounted honours and relics, 1 tilting shield, 5 purity seals, 3 left arms with master-crafted power axes, 5 left arms with master-crafted power swords, 3 right arms with plasma pistols, 5 right arms with heavy bolt pistols, 5 empty pistol holsters with pouches, 5 right arms with combat shields and 5 sets of grenades and decorations, so no two units need look alike.

The transfer sheet features icons for the Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Salamanders and Raptors, plus unit designations, numbers, honour markings and campaign badges.
